The Author's Helper — Post Helper
Privacy · last updated September 27, 2026
In short: the Post Helper collects nothing, keeps nothing and sends nothing anywhere.
What it does
The Post Helper is a browser add-on for authors who use The Author's Helper. When you click Facebook or Instagram beside one of your ready posts, it opens that site in a new tab and fills in your post — its words and your book cover — on your own page. You check it and press Post yourself. The helper never posts for you.
What it reads and where it goes
- The words and cover of the one post you clicked, taken from your Posts page on theauthorshelper.com. They are held inside your browser for a few minutes (up to ten while you sign in), put into the Facebook or Instagram post box, and then forgotten.
- It looks at the Facebook or Instagram page only to find the post box, the picture button and the Next buttons. It does not read your feed, messages, friends, followers or anything else.
- It does not send anything to us or to anyone else. It has no tracking, no analytics and no advertising.
- It does not see or store your passwords. If you are not signed in, it waits while you sign in yourself.
Permissions it asks for
- theauthorshelper.com — to receive the post you clicked and to fetch your book cover.
- facebook.com and instagram.com — to fill in the post on the page you asked it to open.
- Storage — to hold that one post for a few minutes while the page opens. It is cleared when used and when you close the browser.
